The Rees Family Office is hiring a top-tier Full Stack Engineer with deep, practical AI experience to help architect and build intelligent systems across multiple portfolio companies.

This role is in person in Southern Pines, North Carolina.
Relocation is fully supported for the right candidate.

We are not experimenting with AI.
We are embedding it into the core operating systems of real businesses.

You will work directly with founder-level leadership and serve as a technical force multiplier — second to our engineering leader — building AI-native infrastructure across fintech, insurtech, healthcare, aviation, and data-driven enterprises.

This is for a builder who understands that AI is not a feature.
It is an architectural layer.

What You Will Build

AI-embedded workflows across production platforms
LLM-integrated systems connected to structured and unstructured data
Intelligent routing and decision engines
Predictive analytics pipelines
Automated compliance and risk detection models
Context-aware agent systems
Enterprise-grade AI infrastructure tied to real revenue

You will move beyond demos and build production intelligence.

Core Requirements

10+ years building real, production systems
Demonstrated experience integrating AI/LLMs into live platforms
Strong backend engineering expertise (Python strongly preferred, Node or Go acceptable)
Modern frontend capability (React, Next.js, TypeScript)
Experience with vector databases, embeddings, retrieval systems, or RAG architecture
Strong data modeling instincts
Event-driven architecture and distributed systems experience
Cloud-native experience (GCP preferred)
High security and compliance awareness

You must understand both model capability and system design.
We are not hiring prompt engineers.
We are hiring AI systems architects.

Bonus Experience

Fine-tuning or model optimization
Databricks or large-scale data pipelines
GPU workload orchestration
Real-time decisioning systems
High-volume transactional platforms
